Reels Warranty Policy

Accurate reels are covered by a manufacturer's 1-year limited warranty. This warranty applies to the original owner against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when the reel is purchased from Accurate directly or an authorized Accurate dealer. Proof of purchase and registration of the reel is required for any warranty claim. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, alterations, improper servicing/parts installation, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use.

Please follow the instructions below for warranty evaluation before submitting a warranty claim.

Rods Warranty Policy

Accurate "No Questions Asked" Replacement Program

Accurate offers a "no questions asked" replacement program for anglers who live on the continent of North America. For damages determined to be from an accident, normal wear and tear, or neglect, you will receive a replacement of the broken rod for $100 plus shipping for all models, excluding the BV-70XXXH, which is $120 plus shipping.

You will be offered a similar model if the specific model is unavailable.

Email info@accuratefishing.com with photos of the rod model number and breakage point along with your name, address, phone number, credit card information, or PayPal email address, and we'll process your replacement order.

 

Manufacturer's Defect Claim

If you suspect a manufacturer's defect and the purchase date is 60 days or less, contact Accurate at info@accuratefishing.com. Proof of purchase is required.

To claim a manufacturing defect, please mail or drop off the rod with proof of purchase and the rod warranty form filled out. The form can be found here.

Please allow up to 10 business days to process defective claims. For questions or status, please email info@accuratefishing.com   

 

Parts Warranty Policy

Accurate parts are covered by a 1-year limited warranty. If your Accurate part fails to perform its intended use due to defects in materials and/or workmanship, we will replace it. Normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or improper servicing/installation is not covered. Products must be returned to Accurate with proof of purchase and a written explanation of the defect to be considered for replacement. See the address below.

 

Piranha Pliers Warranty Policy

Accurate Piranha pliers are covered by a 1-year limited warranty. If your Accurate pliers fail to perform their intended use due to defects in materials and/or workmanship, we will repair or replace them. Normal wear and tear, misuse, or neglect is not covered. This includes cutting anything but Spectra (braid), mono, or fluoro line. The product must be returned to Accurate with proof of purchase and a written explanation of the defect to be considered for repair/replacement. See the address below.

 

First-generation Piranha Plier Upgrade Program

If you have the original Accurate Piranha Pliers with the model number starting with APL (the current model begins with APXL), you can upgrade to the current APXL-7 for $60 plus shipping. We no longer have cutters and jaws for the first-generation pliers. Click on this link to complete the plier upgrade form and include it with your first-gen pliers.

 

How to Submit a Reel Warranty Claim

Email our customer service team with a description of the problem and photos that clearly depict the reason for your claim. Include the model number and serial number of the reel. If approved, an RMA# and shipping label will be issued so the item(s) can be returned to Accurate for inspection. If the claim is honored, Accurate will repair or replace the item. If the claim is denied, we will contact you with a reason and discuss further options. Please fill out the reel service form and include it with your reel(s).

Accurate is not liable for lost packages. Proof of purchase, registration of reel, and RMA# is required before returning item(s) to Accurate. If unable to reach the customer via email or phone within 60 days from the last point of contact, the warranty claim will be considered abandoned, and the item(s) will be returned to the original shipping address.

WARRANTY AND LIABILITY LIMITATIONS

There are no other express warranties. Any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited to the duration of this limited warranty. Accurate Fishing Products shall NOT be liable for any loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss, or other incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, but you may have additional rights that vary from state to state.
