How to add/remove cast control weights
STEP 1
Remove the Sideplate Screws
Using a T6 Torx driver, carefully remove the four sideplate screws.
Place the screws in a small tray or container so they are not lost.
Step 2
Separate the Sideplate from the Frame
Gently pull the sideplate away from the reel frame.
The centrifugal cast control system will be visible on the end of the spool.
Do not twist or pry the sideplate apart.
Step 3
Add or Remove Weights
Select the configuration that best matches your experience and fishing conditions.
To install a weight:
Carefully press the weight straight onto the post until it is fully seated.
To remove a weight:
Grip the weight and carefully pull it straight off the post.
For balanced braking, install the weights as evenly as possible around the spool.
Final Step
Reassemble the Reel
Align the sideplate with the frame and gently press the two sections together.
Reinstall the four sideplate screws using the T6 Torx driver. Tighten them evenly in an alternating pattern.
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the screws. Overtightening may strip the threads or damage the screws.

STEP 1
Remove the Sideplate Screws
Use a T6 Torx driver to remove the four sideplate screws.
Be careful not to lose the screws, as they may fall out when removed.
Step 2
Pull sideplate and frame apart
Separate the sideplate from the frame. The Cast Control System is located on the outside of the spool's plastic clicker cap.
Step 3
Add or Remove Cast Control Weights
Carefully Add or Remove the desired amount of cast control weights.
ADD: Drop the weights into the empty slots in the plastic clicker cap.
REMOVE: Using a thin, sharp object (such as a razor blade), carefully lift and remove the weights from the slots.
Final Step
Reassemble the Reel
Reassemble the sideplate and frame. Use a T6 Torx driver to tighten the (4) sideplate screws.
Do not overtighten the screws. They may strip or break if excessive force is applied.
